About me

Greetings! My name is Jenny Edstrom – I’m a 30 year veteran of earning my living in Corporate America. One of the drawbacks about working in a mid-management position in a Fortune 50 company is that you really don’t have the luxury of working on side projects. It feels like every ounce of working energy is spent on solving problems, attending meetings, crafting endless emails, perfecting powerpoint presentations and playing calendar drill. When I decided to change how I earned a living, I knew it would have to be a radical move to break free of my own mindset.

So, instead of “quitting and staying” in my job, I took a leap of faith (and a generous bonus) and quit. That was April 8, 2016.  This blog is intended to bring the reader along on my journey to start up a business.

I call this blog “Start to Succeed” because my experience shows that most new ventures (personal and professional) don’t succeed because they don’t get started. In other words, we let our heads get in the way of our hearts. We focus on obstacles that we think are on the path to success, but we don’t really know. The only way to meet your potential and give yourself opportunity is to get just enough courage to start the work.  Care to join me as I discover what lies in my path and what great opportunity awaits? I hope so!

I welcome feedback and constructive comments! Please feel free to reach me at Jennifer.edstrom@comcast.net.
